Abstract
Based on Riskesdas, the prevalence of nutritional status in West Java Province based on (BMI/U) in the 13-15 year age group consists of underweight 9.9%, normal 76.68%, and over nutrition reaching 13.42%. Excessive consumption of sweet drinks results in increased intake of added sugar, which results in excess body weight and the risk of degenerative diseases such as obesity, diabetes mellitus and other diseases. One of the consequences of low nutritional knowledge in teenagers is consuming sweetened drinks which have a negative impact on health. The aim of this research was to determine the description of nutritional knowledge, consumption habits of packaged sweet drinks and nutritional status among adolescents at MTs Persis 7 Cempaka Warna, Tasikmalaya City. This type of research is descriptive research. The sample in this research was 30 students at MTs Persis 7 Cempaka Warna, Tasikmalaya City. Determination of the research sample was carried out using a non-random sampling method. Data analysis was carried out using univariate analysis. Data collection was carried out by means of interviews using knowledge questionnaires and FFQ, measuring height and weight. The results of the research showed that 77% had good knowledge, 17% had quite good knowledge, and 6% had poor knowledge. The dominant consumption of milk-sweetened drinks is often 57%, dominantly sweetened tea drinks are sometimes 50%, dominantly sweetened coffee drinks are sometimes 37%, fruit-flavored sweetened drinks are dominant sometimes 50%, sweet sports drinks are dominantly never 50%, The usual dominant sachet sweet drink is 37%. The nutritional status of BMI/U is 57% good nutrition, 7% undernutrition, 13% overnutrition, and 23% obesity. As well as for parents to control their children more so that they don't consume sweet drinks too often and consume more mineral water.
