Abstract

Fibroadenoma mammae (FAM) is the most common benign breast tumor among adolescent girls and women of reproductive age. Hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle may affect breast tissue characteristics and influence the effectiveness of breast self-examination (BSE) in detecting breast lumps. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of BSE before and after menstruation for the early detection of fibroadenoma mammae among adolescent girls.
