Abstract

PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN MENGGUNAKAN LEAFLET TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN PENCEGAHAN DIABETES MELITUS GESTASIONAL PADA IBU HAMIL DI PUSKESMAS KALIWEDI Pembimbing : Lia Nurcahyani, SST, MPH dan Herni Kurnia, SST., M.Keb Penulis Riyanti INTISARI Diabetes Melitus Gestasional (DMG) merupakan gangguan metabolik yang terjadi selama kehamilan dan dapat menimbulkan berbagai komplikasi bagi ibu maupun janin. Hasil observasi awal di Puskesmas Kaliwedi menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar ibu hamil masih memiliki pengetahuan yang kurang mengenai faktor risiko dan upaya pencegahan DMG. Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan perlunya pemberian edukasi kesehatan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan media leaflet terhadap pengetahuan pencegahan DMG pada ibu hamil di Puskesmas Kaliwedi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental melalui pendekatan one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 70 ibu hamil yang dipilih menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan, kemudian dianalisis dengan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan setelah pemberian pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan leaflet (p<0,001). Media leaflet terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai pencegahan DMG dan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media edukasi dalam pelayanan antenatal care. THE EFFECT OF HEALTH EDUCATION USING LEAFLETS ON KNOWLEDGE OF GESTATIONAL DIABETES MELLITUS PREVENTION AMONG PREGNANT WOMEN AT THE KALIWEDI COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER Advisor : Lia Nurcahyani, SST, MPH dan Herni Kurnia, SST., M.Keb Author Riyanti ABSTRACT Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is a metabolic disorder that occurs during pregnancy and can lead to various complications for both the mother and the fetus. Preliminary observations at the Kaliwedi Community Health Center indicate that most pregnant women still lack knowledge about the risk factors and prevention measures for GDM. This situation highlights the need for effective health education to improve the knowledge of pregnant women. This study aims to analyze the effect of health education using leaflets on knowledge of GDM prevention among pregnant women at the Kaliwedi Community Health Center. This study employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The study sample consisted of 70 pregnant women selected using accidental sampling. Data were collected using a knowledge questionnaire and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge following health education using leaflets (p<0.001). Leaflets proved effective in improving pregnant women’s knowledge regarding DMG prevention and can be utilized as an educational tool in antenatal care services.
