Abstract

ABSTRAK “IMPLEMENTASI TERAPI KOMPRES ALOE VERA UNTUK MENURUNKAN SKALA NYERI PHLEBITIS AKIBAT PEMASANGAN INFUS DI RSUD KOTA BANJAR” Irna Nurmalasari¹ Ida Rosdiana, M.Kep., Ns., Sp.Kep.MB² Ns. Novi Indriani, S.ST., M.Tr. Kep³ Phlebitis merupakan inflamasi (peradangan) vena yang disebabkan oleh iritasi kimia maupun mekanik yang ditandai dengan rasa sakit dan nyeri disepanjang vena, kemerahan, bengkak, dan hangat, serta dapat dirasakan disekitar area penusukan. Tujuan karya tulis ilmiah ini adalah untuk menggambarkan penerapan kompres Aloe vera dalam menurunkan skala nyeri pada pasien dengan gejala phlebitis di BLUD RSU Kota Banjar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, melibatkan satu pasien yang mengalami phlebitis. Intervensi dilakukan selama tiga hari dengan melakukan terapi kompres aloe vera satu hari sekali dengan durasi 20 menit. Pengukuran tingkat nyeri dilakukan dengan menggunakan Numeric rating scale (NRS) dan penilaian keparahan phlebitis dengan menggunakan Visual Infusion phlebitis (VIP) score sebelum dan sesudah terapi. Hasil dari setelah dilakukan intervensi terhadap pasien terjadi penurunan skala nyeri secara signifikan dari skala 7 menurun jadi 1 serta berkurangnya phlebitis dari skor 4 menurun menjadi 1. Kompres Aloe vera berfungsi memberikan efek dingin, anti inflamasi, sekaligus kandungan zat aktifnya membantu zat aktifnya. Karya Tulis Ilmiah ini menyimpulkan bahwa terapi kompres Aloe vera efektif dalam menurunkan skala nyeri serta mengurangi inflamasi akibat phlebitis. Oleh karena itu, terapi ini disarankan untuk di terapkan dalam praktik keperawatan sebagai intervensi yang aman, murah, dan mudah dilakukan bagi pasien dengan masalah nyeri akibat pemasangan infus. Novi Indriani, S.ST., M.Tr. Kep³ Phlebitis is an inflammation of the veins caused by chemical or mechanical irritation. It is characterized by pain and tenderness along the vein, redness, swelling, and warmth, which can be felt around the puncture site. The purpose of this scientific paper is to describe the application of Aloe vera compresses to reduce pain in patients with phlebitis symptoms at the Banjar City Hospital (BLUD). The method used was a qualitative case study approach, involving one patient with phlebitis. The intervention was carried out for three days, with aloe vera compress therapy performed once a day for 20 minutes. Pain levels were measured using a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) and phlebitis severity was assessed using a Visual Infusion Phlebitis (VIP) score before and after therapy. Results from the intervention showed a significant reduction in pain from a score of 7 to 1, and phlebitis from a score of 4 to 1. Aloe vera compresses provide a cooling and anti- inflammatory effect, while their active ingredients also contribute to the healing process. This scientific paper concludes that Aloe vera compress therapy is effective in reducing pain and inflammation caused by phlebitis. Therefore, this therapy is recommended for use in nursing practice as a safe, affordable, and easy-to-perform intervention for patients with pain caused by IV insertion.
