Abstract
POLTEKKES KEMENKES TASIKMALAYA PROGRAM STUDI KEPERAWATAN CIREBON Karya Tulis Ilmiah, Mei 2026 Gambaran Pelaksanaan Terapi Okupasi Menanam Tanaman Dengan Metode Pot Pada Ny. LM dan Tn. H Dengan Harga Diri Rendah di Panti Gramesia Kabupaten Cirebon Sindy Salsabila¹, Eyet Hidayat², Dwi Putri Parendrawati³ ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Harga diri rendah merupakan salah satu masalah keperawatan jiwa yang ditandai dengan penilaian negatif terhadap diri sendiri, perasaan tidak berharga, kurang percaya diri, dan ketidakmampuan dalam melakukan aktivitas. Salah satu intervensi nonfarmakologis yang dapat diberikan yaitu terapi okupasi menanam tanaman dengan metode pot. Tujuan: Mendapatkan Gambaran kondisi awal, pelaksanaan terapi, respon, serta analisis kesenjangan pada dua pasien harga diri rendah setelah dilakukan terapi okupasi menanam tanaman dengan metode pot. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Pelaksanaan terapi dilakukan selama 5 hari dengan durasi 15–30 menit menggunakan media pot tanaman, tanah, pupuk, air, dan bibit tanaman. Hasil Pembahasan: Setelah dilakukan terapi okupasi menanam tanaman, kedua pasien mengalami peningkatan respons positif seperti mulai mampu menyebutkan kemampuan yang dimiliki, lebih percaya diri saat berinteraksi, aktif mengikuti kegiatan, dan tampak lebih rileks. Terapi ini juga membantu pasien dalam meningkatkan aktivitas fisik, konsentrasi, serta mengurangi perasaan tidak berharga. Kesimpulan: Terapi okupasi menanam tanaman dengan metode pot dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan harga diri pada pasien jiwa. Saran: Terapi okupasi menanam tanaman diharapkan dapat dijadikan salah satu terapi pendukung dalam pelayanan kesehatan jiwa. TASIKMALAYA HEALTH POLYTECHNIC NURSING STUDY PROGRAM OF CIREBON Scientific Paper, May 2026 Description of the Implementation of Occupational Therapy Through Planting Using Pot Method in Mrs. LM and Mr. H with Low Self-Esteem at the Gramesia Nursing Home, Cirebon Regency Sindy Salsabila¹, Eyet Hidayat², Dwi Putri Parendrawati³ ABSTRACT Background: Low self-esteem is one of the mental nursing problems characterized by negative self-assessment, feelings of worthlessness, lack of self-confidence, and inability to perform activities. One of the non-pharmacological interventions that can be provided is occupational therapy through planting using the pot method. Purpose: To obtain a description of the initial condition, implementation of therapy, patient responses, and comparative gap analysis in two patients with low self-esteem following occupational therapy through planting activities using the pot method. Method: This study employed a qualitative design with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The occupational therapy was conducted for 5 days, with each session lasting 15–30 minutes, using planting pots, soil, fertilizer, water, and plant seedlings as the therapeutic media. Results and Discussion: After the implementation of occupational therapy through planting activities, both patients showed positive improvements such as being able to mention their abilities, becoming more confident in interacting, actively participating in activities, and appearing more relaxed. This therapy also helped improve patients’ physical activity, concentration, and reduced feelings of worthlessness. Conclusion: Occupational therapy through planting using the pot method can provide positive effects in improving self-esteem in mental disorder patients. Suggestion: Occupational therapy through planting activities is expected to be used as one of the supportive therapies in mental health services.
