Abstract
Nutritional problems, or stunting, can hinder physical growth, motor development, and cognitive abilities in children. According to data from the Indonesian Health Survey (SKI), the prevalence of stunting in Kuningan Regency in 2023 was recorded at 23.4%. In 2024, this figure decreased to around 22.7%. Although this decrease has occurred, it has not yet reached the government's target. The government, through the Ministry of Health, has implemented various nutritional intervention programs, one of which is the Recovery Supplemental Feeding Program (PMT-P). PMT-P is provided to toddlers who are not gaining weight with the aim of increasing energy and protein intake, thereby improving nutritional status. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of supplemental feeding on weight gain in toddlers who are not gaining weight (T toddlers). The study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample size was 58 T toddlers, using a purposive sampling technique. In T toddler an intervention in the form of PMT-P was processed and administered by cadres referring to the Ministry og Health standards for 14 days, with body weight measured before and after the intervention. Data analysis used an Paired Sample t-test. The results of the study showed that the average weight of toddlers before PMT-P was 11.6805 kg with a standard deviation of 2.52541, while after PMT-P, it increased to 11.8753 kg with a standard deviation of 2.60117. The results of the Paired Sample t-test yielded a p-value of 0.002 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between toddler weight before and after PMT-P. The conclusion of this study indicates that the provision of Recovery Supplemental Food (PMT-P) is effective in increasing toddler weight.
