Abstract
Gina Nafsiah Prototype Design of Educational Media Booklet About Family Knowledge Regarding Exclusive Breastfeeding for 0-6 Months at Kahuripan Community Health Center Area, Tasikmalaya City. Under supervision of Yanita Listianasari. Exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 0–6 months is an important effort to improve infant health, maternal well-being, and support optimal child growth and development. However, the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in several regions has not yet reached the expected target, including in the working area of Kahuripan Community Health Center, Tasikmalaya City. One of the factors influencing the success of exclusive breastfeeding is the low level of family knowledge regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding. Therefore, an educational medium that is attractive, easy to understand, and effective for the community is needed, one of which is a booklet-based educational media. This study aimed to design a prototype of booklet-based educational media regarding family knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 0–6 months in the working area of Kahuripan Community Health Center, Tasikmalaya City. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model consisting of define, design, and develop stages without the disseminate stage. The research process included needs analysis, material preparation, booklet design development, validation by material experts, media experts, and language experts, as well as limited trials involving breastfeeding mothers as respondents. The results showed that the developed booklet had an attractive design, appropriate educational content, and understandable language, making it suitable as a health education medium. The booklet prototype is expected to improve family knowledge regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and support the improvement of exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Posyandu and the wider community Keywords: Exclusive breastfeeding, family knowledge, educational media, booklets, Health Center, prototype
