Abstract

Nutritional and dietary issues among adolescents, particularly obesity and anemia, highlight the need for innovative health education tools that are easier to understand. Through a Research and Development (R&D) framework adopting the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop), this study conducted at SMAN 5 in Tasikmalaya conceptualized a digital booklet containing guidelines for a balanced diet. The development of the media began with a needs analysis based on interviews, followed by content structure design, and culminated in a multi-perspective validation phase by experts in language, media, and subject matter. Product testing was conducted in late April 2026 with 12 students selected via purposive sampling. The research results confirmed the product’s feasibility at the “Highly Feasible” level, evidenced by an aggregate expert validation percentage of 98% (content), 96% (media), and 96% (language), and reinforced by a 97% positive student response rate. These findings affirm that the digital booklet is an efficient and comprehensive option for adolescent nutrition education.
