Abstract
Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem characterized by impaired linear growth due to long-term malnutrition, especially during the first 1,000 days of life. Protein and zinc are important nutrients that play a role in the growth and development of toddlers. This study aimed to describe protein and zinc intake among stunted toddlers aged 6-23 months in the working area of Kawalu Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya City. This study used a descriptive design with a purposive sampling technique involving 33 stunted toddlers. Data were collected through anthropometric measurements and interviews using the Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) method. Data analysis was performed using univariate analysis. The results showed that 26 toddlers (79%) were categorized as stunted and 7 toddlers (21%) as severely stunted. Keywords: stunting, protein intake, zinc intake, SQ-FFQ, nutritional status.
