Abstract

Nutritional problems among adolescents include both overnutrition and undernutrition, with overnutrition being more prevalent. Therefore, it is important to provide nutrition education through appropriate media, one of which is a leaflet about the T-shaped food plate model. A leaflet is a brief text-and-image-based medium that effectively delivers information. This education is expected to improve adolescents understanding of proper portion sizes. This study aims to develop an educational leaflet using the Research and Development (R&D) method through three stages: Define, Design, and Development. The resulting product is an educational leaflet about the T-shaped Food Plate Model, which is validated by material, media, and language experts, and tested on a sample of adolescents.The population includes experts and students of SMAN 1 Singaparna in grades X and XI who are classified as overnourished. The trial sample involves 30 respondents. The feasibility test results show that material experts give a score of 94%, media experts 87.1%, and language experts 85%, all categorized as very feasible. Meanwhile, the trial results indicate a 100% acceptance rate in the “strongly agree” category. This leaflet is considered highly feasible as a tool for nutrition education and learning. Future researchers are encouraged to assess the effectiveness of the developed product. Keywords : Adolescents, T-shaped food plate model, Leaflet, Development
