Abstract
ABSTRACT SINTA KOMALA. Description of breakfast habits, energy intake and nutritional status in SD Negeri 2 Sukamaju, Garut Regency. Under the guidance of ANDRI GUSTIADI Breakfast is an activity of consuming food and drinks after waking up until nine o'clock and fulfilling 15-30% of daily nutritional needs. Breakfast provides energy and nutrients needed to support daily activities and affects children's nutritional status. Children who are accustomed to skipping breakfast are three times more likely to consume snacks and have difficulty controlling their appetite, which can lead to obesity. Based on the results of a preliminary study related to basic data at school according to data provided by the principal of SD Negeri 2 Sukamaju to a population of 164 male and female students, it can be seen that the nutritional status of school children based on body mass index according to age (BMI / U) with samples of grades 4,5 and 6 at SD Negeri 2 Sukamaju, namely 10% nutritional status and 20% overweight. This type of research is descriptive research. Sampling in this study used the random sampling method. The sample used in this study was 50 students. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, 2x24 hour non-consecutive food recall interviews, use of SQ-FFQ, and anthropometric measurements (weight and height)..
