Abstract
Introduction: Adolescent pregnancy is a pregnancy that is less than 20 years old and increases the risk of medical complications, both in the mother and in the child. The risk of pregnancy out of wedlock is an event or occurrence that occurs where a young woman is at risk of falling into promiscuity which results in underage adolescents being at risk of getting pregnant out of wedlock. Based on data from Sukamanah Village, as many as 31 teenagers were found to have pregnancy out of wedlock. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that affect the incidence of pregnancy out of wedlock in adolescent girls in Sukamanah Village, Cipedes District, Tasikmalaya City. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a cross sectional design. The number of respondents was 53 respondents. The sampling technique in this study uses total sampling. Analyze the data used in the chi square test. Results: The knowledge factor of adolescent girls is in the category of lack (37.7%), the attitude of adolescent girls is mostly lacking (62.3%), the role of parents is mostly good (50.9%), the role of peers is mostly lacking (54.7%), and most adolescents experience pregnancy out of wedlock (58.5%). The results of the Chi-Square test showed that the factors that were significantly related to pregnancy outside of wedlock were the level of knowledge p=0.000 and the role of parents p=0.034. Attitudes towards pregnancy out of wedlock (p=0.121) and the role of peers (p=0.254) are factors that are not related to the incidence of pregnancy out of wedlock in adolescent girls. Conclusion: Factors related to the incidence of pregnancy out of wedlock in adolescent girls are the knowledge and role of parents.
