Abstract

Skizofrenia merupakan psikosis, sejenis penyakit mental yang ditandai oleh distorsi dalam berpikir, persepsi, emosi, bahasa, dan perilaku. Salah satu gejala skizofrenia adalah halusinasi, dimana individu kehilangan kemampuan dalam membedakan antara rangsangan (pikiran) dan rangsangan eksternal (dunia luar). Halusinasi pendengaran merupakan halusinasi yang paling sering terjadi dimana pasien mendengar suara-suara palsu. Dampak dari halusinasi sendiri yaitu resiko perilaku kekerasan, penanganan pasien yang menderita gangguan halusinasi dapat dilakukan dengan kombinasi pengobatan farmakologi dan nonfarmakologi seperti psikoterapi, terapi keluarga dan terapi individu, salah satunya yaitu terapi thought stopping. Tujuan dari studi kasus ini yaitu untuk mengetahui penerapan terapi thought stopping terhadap penurunan tingkat halusinasi pada pasien dengan gangguan halusinasi pendengaran. Rancangan karya tulis ilmiah ini menggunakan studi kasus pada 2 pasien yang sama-sama mengalami gangguan persepsi sensori halusinasi pendengaran. Hasil dari studi kasus ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan tanda dan gejala sebelum dan sesudah diberikan terapi thought stopping. Pada kedua pasien mengalami penurunan tanda dan gejala halusinasi dan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan dalam mengontrol halusinasi. Kesimpulan dari studi kasus ini menunjukkan bahwa terapi thought stopping cukup efektif untuk mengontrol halusinasi dan menurunkan tanda dan gejala halusinasi. Schizophrenia is a psychosis, a type of mental illness characterized by distortions in thinking, perception, emotion, language, and behavior. One of the symptoms of schizophrenia is hallucinations, where individuals lose the ability to distinguish between stimuli (thoughts) and external stimuli (the outside world). Auditory hallucinations are the most common hallucinations where patients hear false voices. The impact of hallucinations itself is the risk of violent behavior, handling patients suffering from hallucination disorders can be done with a combination of pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments such as psychotherapy, family therapy and individual therapy, one of which is thought stopping therapy. The purpose of this case study is to determine the application of thought stopping therapy to reduce the level of hallucinations in patients with auditory hallucination disorder. The design of this scientific paper uses case studies on 2 patients who both experience auditory hallucination sensory perception disorder. The results of this case study show differences in signs and symptoms before and after being given thought stopping therapy. Both patients experienced a decrease in signs and symptoms of hallucinations and showed an increase in the ability to control hallucinations. The conclusion of this case study shows that thought stopping therapy is effective enough to control hallucinations and reduce signs and symptoms of hallucinations.
