Abstract
School-age children are one of the groups that are vulnerable to nutritional problems. Breakfast habits contribute to meeting the daily energy and nutrient needs of school-age children. The prevalence of nutritional status of children 5-12 years in Tasikmalaya Regency in 2013 based on Body Mass Index for Age (BMI/U) was 14.0%, obesity was 14.0% and 14% was very overweight, based on height/age was 15.0 % very short. This study aims to get an overview of energy intake, breakfast habits and nutritional status of school children at SD Negeri 3 Parakanhonje. This type of research is descriptive research. The population of this study were all 4th and 5th grade students at SD Negeri 3 Parakanhonje as many as 43 students with a total sample of 30 students. Sampling using simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out by filling out questionnaires, 2×24hour food recall interviews as well as breakfast habits and anthropometric measurements. most of the respondents were male 53.3% and belonged to the age group of 10-12 years 53.3%. Energy intake with a severe level deficit of 70%, moderate level deficit of 10%, mild level deficit of 6.7%, normal level of 3.4% and more than 10%. Most of the respondents' breakfast habits were included in the category of sometimes having breakfast (4-5 times/week) because of motivation from both parents to have breakfast, and the rest were included in the category of always having breakfast (7 times/week), rarely having breakfast (2- 3 times/week) and never had breakfast (0 times/week) 10%
