Abstract

Medicines are a crucial component of healthcare services that require proper management to ensure availability, quality, and efficient use. Medication management at Public health centers (Puskesmas) is crucial because it plays a crucial role in the success of primary healthcare services. This study aims to examine medication management at the Lakbok Public Health Center, including planning, procurement, receiving, storage, distribution, recording, reporting, and evaluation. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through structured interviews and direct observation with pharmacists, pharmaceutical technicians, and the head of the Lakbok Public Health Center. The research instruments consisted of interview guides and observation sheets. The study was conducted at the Lakbok Public Health Center, Ciamis Regency, West Java, from December 2025 to March 2026. Data were analyzed descriptively by comparing field findings to the standards stipulated in the Indonesian Minister of Health Regulation No. 74 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Public Health Centers. The results of this study will describe the implementation of medication management at the Lakbok Public Health Center, including compliance with applicable standards, obstacles encountered, and efforts undertaken at each stage of medication management to ensure the availability of appropriate types, quantities, quality, and timeliness of medications for the Public.
