Abstract

Pengaruh Penyuluhan Terhadap Pengetahuan Pemeliharaan Kesehatan Gigi dan Mulut menggunakan Media Question Card pada Anak Tunagrahita tingkat SDLB di SLB ABC Yayasan Insan Sejahtera Kota Tasikmalaya Ade Sinta Lestari1, Emma Kamelia2, Tita Kartika Dewi3. 1) Mahasiswa Program Studi Sarjana Terapan Terapis Gigi Jurusan Kesehatan Gigi Poltekkes Kemenkes Tasikmalaya 2,3) Dosen Program Studi Terapan Terapis Gigi Jurusan Kesehatan Gigi Poltekkes Kemenkes Tasikmalaya ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Pemeliharaan Kesehatan Gigi dan Mulut salah satu upaya meningkatkan kesehatan mulut dan besarnya peranan mulut bagi kesehatan dan kesejahteraan seseorang. Anak tunagrahita yaitu anak yang mempunyai kapasitas kecerdasan IQ dibawah 70. Prevelensi karies pada anak tunagrahita mencapai 82,6%. untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan salah satunya yaitu penyuluhan menggunakan media question card. Tujuan: Menganalisis rata – rata pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap pengetahuan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut menggunakan media question card pada anak tunagrahita tingkat SDLB di SLB ABC Yayasan Insan Sejahtera Kota Tasikmalaya. Metode: quasi eksperimental design dengan rancangan one group pre-test and post-test pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 35 anak. Hasil: Sebelum diberikan penyuluhan dengan menggunakan media question card kriteria pengetahuan twrbanyak yaitu dengan kriteria kurang sebanyak 28 anak (80%), sedangkan setelah diberikan penyuluhan dengan menggunakan media question card meningkat menjadi kriteria baik sebanyak 11 anak ( 31%), dan kriteria cukup sebanyak 24 anak (69%), sehingga rata- rata pengetahuan anak tunagrahita mengalami peningkatan dari 47% menjadi 73%. Hasil uji Wilcoxon diperoleh nilai p-value 0,001<0,05 maka dapat disimpulkam bahwa Ha diterima, artinya ada pengaruh penyuluhan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut menggunakan media question card. Kesimpulan: Ada pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut menggunakan media question card pada anak tunagrahita tingkat SDLB di SLB ABC Yayasan Insan Sejahtera Kota Tasikmalaya. Mentally retarded children are children who have an intelligence capacity of IQ below 70. a low level of knowledge of dental and oral health. One of the efforts to increase knowledge is counseling using question card media. Objective: To analyze the average effect of counseling on dental and oral health care knowledge using question cards for mentally retarded children at the SDLB level at the ABC Foundation Insan Sejahtera SLB, Tasikmalaya City. Methods: The type of research used was a quasi-experimental design with a one group pre-test and post-test design. Sampling used total sampling with a sample of 35 children. Results: Before being given counseling using the question card media, the criteria for knowledge were many, namely with less criteria, 28 children (80%), while after being given counseling using the question card media, it increased to a good criterion of 11 children (31%), and sufficient criteria for 24 children (69%), so that the average knowledge of mentally retarded children has increased from 47% to 73%. The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained a p-value of 0.001 <0.05, so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of dental and oral health maintenance counseling using question card media. Conclusion: There is an effect of counseling on dental and oral health maintenance using the question card media for mentally retarded children at the SDLB level at the ABC SLB Yayasan Insan Sejahtera Tasikmalaya City.
