Abstract

ABSTRACT HAWA NOPIYANI RAMADHAN. Description of Nutritional Knowledge, Macronutrient Intake and Nutritional Status of Adolescents at MTs Persis 7 Cempakawarna Tasikmalaya City in 2024. Under Supervisior of HR AGUS BACHTIAR Adolescence is a transition period or transition period from child to adult. The development that occurs in individuals, especially teenagers, is relatively rapid, so nutritional intake is needed according to the needs of teenagers. Various changes occur by showing signs such as physical, mental, emotional and social changes. Basically, nutritional problems in adolescents arise due to incorrect nutritional behavior, namely an imbalance between nutritional consumption and recommended nutritional adequacy. Nutritional problems that can occur in teenagers are underweight, obesity and anemia. Adolescents' knowledge of nutritional knowledge is a person's understanding of nutritional science, nutrients, and the interaction between nutrients and nutritional status and health. This study aims to determine the description of nutritional knowledge, macronutrient intake and nutritional status in adolescents at MTS Persis 7 Cempakawarna, Tasikmalaya City. This type of research is descriptive research. The sample will take using purposive sampling with a sample of 66 people. The data analysis technique will use univariate analysis. Data collection will involve filling out questionnaires, interviews, measuring body weight and height. In this study, the results showed that 62% of nutritional knowledge was still sufficient. Macronutrient intake in this study was carbohydrates in the excess category 28%, normal 5%, milded deficit 2%, moderated deficit 7% and severed deficit 58%. Protein intake was categorized as more 28%, normal 8%, milded deficit, 10%, moderated deficit, 15% and severed deficit, 39%. Fat intake is categorized more 28%, normal 3%, milded deficit 7%, moderated deficit 12% and severed deficit 50%. The resulted of measuring the nutritional status of adolescents were 3.3% in the category of malnutrition, 68.3% good nutrition, 11.7% was overnourished and 16.7% are obese. It was be concluded that there was still students who have sufficient knowledge, nutritional intake is not met so they must increase the amount of intake and diversity of food types Keywords: Adolescents, Nutritional Knowledge, Macro Substance Intake, Nutritional Status
