Abstract
ABSTRACT Background: Caesarean section (CS) deliveries show a significant increasing trend both globally and nationally. Bhakti Husada 2 Hospital, Purwakarta, as a referral hospital, handles a relatively high number of cesarean deliveries, reaching 643 cases in 2025. The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics of women undergoing cesarean section at Bhakti Husada 2 Hospital in Purwakarta in 2025, including age, parity, medical indication, and type of procedure. Methods: This is an observational study with a quantitative descriptive approach. The population in this study was all 643 women who gave birth by cesarean section at Bhakti Husada 2 Hospital in Purwakarta in 2025, using a total sampling method. The data used were secondary data from medical records, analyzed using descriptive statistics to obtain a frequency distribution. Results: The study showed that the majority of respondents were in the healthy reproductive age group (20–35 years) at 79.0%, with the highest parity proportion in the nulliparous group at 42.1%. The indications for procedures were dominated by combined indications (maternal and fetal factors) at 44.9%, and the type of procedure was more often performed as an emergency (cito) at 55.2% than elective procedures. Conclusion: The primary patient profile for CS at Bhakti Husada 2 Hospital, Purwakarta, is women of healthy reproductive age with their first pregnancy experiencing a combination of medical complications, requiring emergency surgery. It is hoped that the hospital will optimize PONEK services, and healthcare workers in primary care facilities will strengthen early detection of pregnancy risks to minimize the incidence of emergency CS. Keywords: Characteristics, Caesarean Section, Parturient, Indications, Emergency INTISARI Latar Belakang: Persalinan dengan metode Sectio caesarea (SC) menunjukkan peningkatan tren yang signifikan secara global maupun nasional. RS Bhakti Husada 2 Purwakarta sebagai rumah sakit rujukan menangani angka persalinan SC yang cukup tinggi, yaitu mencapai 643 kasus pada tahun 2025. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran karakteristik ibu bersalin yang menjalani persalinan sectio caesarea di RS Bhakti Husada 2 Purwakarta tahun 2025 yang meliputi usia, paritas, indikasi medis, dan jenis tindakan. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu bersalin dengan operasi caesar di RS Bhakti Husada 2 Purwakarta tahun 2025 sebanyak 643 orang dengan menggunakan metode total sampling. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder dari rekam medis yang dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif statistik untuk memperoleh distribusi frekuensi. Hasil: penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden berada pada kelompok usia reproduksi sehat (20–35 tahun) sebesar 79,0%, dengan proporsi paritas tertinggi pada kelompok nullipara sebesar 42,1%. Indikasi tindakan didominasi oleh indikasi kombinasi (faktor ibu dan janin) sebesar 44,9%, dan jenis tindakan lebih banyak dilakukan secara darurat (cito) sebesar 55,2% dibandingkan tindakan elektif. Kesimpulan: Profil pasien utama SC di RS Bhakti Husada 2 Purwakarta adalah ibu pada usia reproduksi sehat dengan kehamilan pertama yang mengalami komplikasi medis kombinasi, sehingga memerlukan operasi darurat. Diharapkan pihak RS mengoptimalkan pelayanan PONEK, dan tenaga kesehatan di fasilitas primer memperkuat deteksi dini risiko kehamilan untuk meminimalisir kejadian SC darurat.komplikasi selama kehamilan guna meminimalisir kejadian tindakan darurat.
