Abstract
ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) merupakan kondisi penurunan fungsi ginjal yang bersifat progresif dan irreversibel sehingga ginjal tidak mampu mempertahankan metabolisme tubuh, cairan, dan elektrolit secara optimal. Pasien CKD yang menjalani hemodialisis sering mengalami keluhan nyeri kepala dan nyeri tengkuk akibat hipertensi, gangguan sirkulasi darah, serta akumulasi toksin uremik. Penatalaksanaan nonfarmakologis yang dapat dilakukan untuk membantu menurunkan nyeri yaitu kompres hangat Warm Water Zack (WWZ) dan teknik relaksasi napas dalam. Tujuan: Melakukan implementasi kompres hangat WWZ di tengkuk dan teknik relaksasi napas dalam pada pasien CKD dengan masalah keperawatan nyeri kronis. Metode: Desain karya tulis ilmiah ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap dua pasien CKD yang diberikan kompres hangat WWZ dan teknik relaksasi napas dalam selama 15 menit, dua kali sehari selama 5 hari. Hasil: Pada pasien 1, skala nyeri mengalami penurunan bertahap dari skala 7 (berat) pada hari pertama menjadi skala 2 (ringan) pada hari kelima. Pada pasien 2, skala nyeri menurun dari skala 6 (sedang) menjadi skala 1 (ringan) pada hari kelima. Kedua pasien menunjukkan peningkatan kenyamanan dan relaksasi setelah dilakukan implementasi. Kesimpulan: Implementasi kompres hangat WWZ di tengkuk dan teknik relaksasi napas dalam efektif dalam membantu menurunkan intensitas nyeri pada pasien Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Saran: Kompres hangat WWZ dan teknik relaksasi napas dalam dapat diterapkan secara mandiri sebagai terapi nonfarmakologis untuk membantu mengurangi nyeri dan meningkatkan kenyamanan pasien CKD. These complaints are commonly associated with hypertension, impaired blood circulation, and the accumulation of uremic toxins. Non-pharmacological interventions such as Warm Water Zack (WWZ) warm compresses and deep breathing relaxation techniques can be used to help reduce pain intensity. Objective: To implement WWZ warm compresses on the neck combined with deep breathing relaxation techniques in CKD patients with chronic pain nursing problems. Methods: This scientific paper used a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through observation and interviews with two CKD patients who received WWZ warm compress therapy and deep breathing relaxation techniques for 15 minutes, twice daily, over five consecutive days. Results: Patient 1 experienced a gradual decrease in pain scale from 7 (severe pain) on the first day to 2 (mild pain) on the fifth day. Patient 2 showed a reduction in pain scale from 6 (moderate pain) to 1 (mild pain). Both patients also demonstrated improved comfort and relaxation after the interventions. Conclusion: The implementation of WWZ warm compresses on the neck and deep breathing relaxation techniques was effective in reducing pain intensity in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
