Abstract
Latar Belakang: Hernioraphy bertujuan untuk mencegah munculnya hernia dengan mempersempit annulus inguinalis internus dan penguatan area belakang kanalis inguinalis yang menimbulkan nyeri. Penanganan nyeri akut tidak hanya dengan terapi farmakologis tetapi dapat dilakukan dengan terapi non farmakologis yaitu teknik genggam jari. Tujuan: Menggambarkan kondisi pasien, menggambarkan pelaksanaan tindakan, mengidentifikasi respon perubahan, menganalisis kesenjangan pada dua pasien yang dilakukan teknik genggam jari. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan penelitian terhadap dua pasien post op hernioraphy yang dilakukan implementasi teknik genggam jari. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil: Implementasi teknik genggam jari yang dilakukan selama 5 hari menunjukan penurunan skala nyeri yang signifikan pada pasien 1 dari skala 8 menjadi skala 2, sedangkan Pasien 2 dari skala 7 menjadi skala 3. Kesimpulan: Teknik genggam jari yang dilakukan menunjukan adanya penurunan pada skala nyeri pasien post op hernioraphy. Saran: Teknik genggam jari dapat diterapkan secara mandiri untuk membantu penurunan nyeri pada pasien post op hernioraphy dengan masalah keperawatan nyeri akut. Background: Herniorrhaphy aims to prevent the occurrence of hernia by narrowing the internal inguinal ring and strengthening the posterior area of the inguinal canal, which causes pain. Acute pain management is not only through pharmacological therapy but can also be done with non-pharmacological therapy, namely the finger grip technique. Objective: To describe the patient's condition, to describe the implementation of the action, to identify response changes, and to analyze gaps in two patients in whom the finger grip technique was applied. Methods: This study uses a qualitative approach with research on two post-op herniorrhaphy patients who underwent the implementation of the finger grip technique. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. Results: The implementation of the finger-grip technique carried out over 5 days showed a significant decrease in the pain scale for patient 1 from a scale of 8 to a scale of 2, while for patient 2 from a scale of 7 to a scale of 3. Conclusion: The finger grip technique performed showed a decrease in pain scale in post-operative herniorraphy patients. Suggestion: The finger grip technique can be applied independently to help reduce pain in post-operative herniorraphy patients with acute pain nursing problems.
