Abstract

Latar Belakang: Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang terjadi di kalangan lansia akibat penurunan fungsi fisiologis. Melalui terapi Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) yang berkerja dengan menggabungkan sistem energi tubuh (tapping) dan spiritualitas sehingga dapat membantu menurunkan tekanan darah. Tujuan: Mengimplementasikan terapi SEFT pada lansia dengan hipertensi untuk menurunkan tekanan darah. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus deskriptif terhadap dua lansia dengan hipertensi. Intervensi dilakukan sebanyak 5 hari selama 20 menit per hari. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup wawancara, observasi, dan pemeriksaan fisik. Hasil: Implemenasi selama lima hari efektif untuk menghilangkan keluhan nyeri kepala, kecemasan, dan menurunkan tekanan darah pada kedua subjek, yaitu dari 160/90 mmHg menjadi 140/80 mmHg (Klien 1) dan dari 190/100 mmHg menjadi 150/90 mmHg (Klien 2), disertai dengan peingkatan pemahaman tentang intervensi. Background: Hypertension is a noncommunicable disease that occurs among the elderly due to a decline in physiological function. Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy works by combining the body’s energy system (tapping) with spirituality to help lower blood pressure. Objective: To implement SEFT therapy in elderly individuals with hypertension to lower blood pressure. Methods: This study employed a qualitative descriptive case study approach involving two elderly individuals with hypertension. The intervention was conducted over 5 days, for 20 minutes per day. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and physical examinations. Results: The five-day intervention was effective in alleviating complaints of headaches and anxiety, and in lowering blood pressure in both subjects: from 160/90 mmHg to 140/80 mmHg (Client 1) and from 190/100 mmHg to 150/90 mmHg (Client 2), accompanied by an increased understanding of the intervention.
