Abstract
ABSTRACT ANISA LUTHFIA.Description of Fast Food Consumption Habits, Physical Activity, and Nutritional Status among Students of Poltekkes Kemenkes Tasikmalaya. Under supervision of ANDRI GUSTIADI Changes in student lifestyles due to modernization and academic demands significantly affected eating habits, physical activity levels, and nutritional status. Students tended to choose fast food because it was practical and easily accessible, although this type of food was known to be high in saturated fat, sodium, and calories, which could negatively impact health. This study aimed to describe the fast food consumption habits, physical activity, and nutritional status among first-year students at Poltekkes Kemenkes Tasikmalaya in 2025. The study used a descriptive quantitative method with a total of 80 respondents selected using stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) to assess fast food consumption, the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) to measure physical activity, and anthropometric measurements (weight and height) to determine nutritional status using the Body Mass Index (BMI). The results showed that 88.75% of respondents rarely consumed fast food, 70% had moderate physical activity levels, and 56.25% had normal nutritional status. However, 17.5% were underweight, 5% were overweight, 16.25% were classified as obese I, and 5% were obese II. These findings indicated that although the majority of students had relatively healthy habits, a significant portion still faced the risk of nutritional imbalances. Therefore, continuous nutrition education and the promotion of active lifestyles were needed to help students maintain a proper balance between dietary intake and physical activity to achieve optimal nutritional status. Keywords: Fast food, Physical Activity, Nutritional Status.
