Abstract

ABSTRACT Dini Ismalia. Designing a Digital Leaflet Media Prototype Regarding Consumption of Sugar, Salt, Fat among Overweight Adolescents at SMAN 1 Singaparn. Under supervision of IRMA NURAENI Overweight was one of the nutritional problems commonly experienced by adolescents in Indonesia. One of the contributing factors was the excessive consumption of sugar, salt, and fat (SSF). This study aimed to design a prototype of an educational media in the form of a digital leaflet regarding SSF consumption for overweight adolescents at SMAN 1 Singaparna. The media development process consisted of three stages: define, design, and develop. The study underwent a feasibility assessment by media, content, and language experts, as well as a limited trial involving overweight adolescent samples. The feasibility test involved three experts (in content, language, and media), while the trial was conducted on 10 overweight students from grades X and XI. Data were collected using questionnaires. The define stage included preliminary analysis, needs assessment, and material selection; the design stage involved initial media creation and expert validation; and the develop stage consisted of user trials with the respondents. The results of the expert validation indicated that the media was categorized as “Highly Feasible.” Meanwhile, the trial results from 10 adolescents showed that the digital leaflet was rated as “Very Good.” In conclusion, the digital leaflet was considered feasible to be used as an educational medium on SSF consumption for overweight adolescents.
