Abstract

The increasing number of COVID-19 cases is a problem for all Indonesian people, both at the central and regional levels, so the government continues to work to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19 and urges the public to always implement health protocols. Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is an effort to strengthen the culture of a person, group or community so that they care about and prioritize health to create a higher quality life. PHBS is expected to be able to prevent transmission of COVID-19 through maintaining personal hygiene and environmental health. However, in its application, people's understanding, especially children, about PHBS and how to use hand sanitizers is still not quite right so that prevention of the spread of COVID-19 is not optimal. This Community Service aims to provide training on personal hygiene/PHBS and the proper use of hand sanitizers using the Problem Base Learning method for Yaa Bunayya Kindergarten Teachers. This training was held at Yaa Bunayya Kindergarten, Tasikmalaya City and was attended by 8 participants. The methods used in this activity are lectures, questions and answers and demonstrations. Then proceed with training and hands-on practice by the participants. The result of this activity is an increase in knowledge as measured using pretest and post test questionnaires. Data analysis used a paired t test with a value <0.05, which indicated that there was an increase in participants knowledge after participating in community service activities with problem-based learning.
