Abstract
YUNI HANDAYANI. Description of Macronutrient and Micronutrient Intake in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Sufferers at Tamansari Community Health Center, Tasikmalaya City in 2024. Under supervision of Edri Indah Yuliza Nur Diabetes mellitus is a disease that is increasing every year. Riskesdas (2018) shows that the prevalence of DM in Indonesia based on doctor's diagnosis in the population aged ≥ 15 years is 2.0%. This shows that there is an increase in the prevalence of DM in Indonesia compared to the Riskesdas (2013) results, namely 1.5%. The management of type 2 DM is known as having 4 pillars, namely education, nutritional therapy, physical activity, and pharmacological therapy. Excessive food intake such as carbohydrates, protein and fat can be an early risk factor for diabetes mellitus.
