Abstract

Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) in Indonesia in 2013 was 35%. The prevalence of PROM in Indonesia ranges from 4.4 to 7.6% of all pregnancies. The aim of this study was to determine the affecting factors of premature rupture of membrane of maternity mother at smc regional public hospital tasikmalaya in 2019. The results showed that there was a relationship between the age factor and the incidence of PROM with a p-value of 0.044, there was no relationship between parity and the incidence of PROM with a p-value of 0.829, there was a relationship between Gemelli and PROM incidence with a p-value of 0.030, there was a relationship between malpresentation and incidence. PROM with a p-value of 0.036, and there was no relationship between hydramnios and PROM incidence with a p-value of 0.088. The conclusion of this study is that those related to the incidence of premature rupture of membranes in maternal delivery are age, gemelli and malpresentation.
