Abstract

Background: Post partum is the period after the placenta is born until the reproductive organs recover in approximately 6 weeks. Physiological changes in post partum mothers occur uterine involution. One indicator of the uterine involution process is the height of the uterine fundus (TFU). If the TFU is above the normal limit, feels flabby and decreases slowly, it indicates that the uterus lacks contraction and results in subinvolution. There are several ways to prevent subinvolution, including Endorphin massage. A massage technique in the form of light touch starting from the tip of the head to the mother's inner thighs. Endorphin massage is a non-pharmacological technique that provides a sense of relaxation and stimulates the hormone endhophin and triggers the release of the hormone oxytocin as an important role in the process of uterine involution. Purpose: the writing of this scientific paper provides a direct and comprehensive description of the speed of TFU reduction using endorphin massage technique in post partum mothers. Method: this scientific paper is a case study using a qualitative descriptive method in the form of a comparison of two respondents of post partum mothers who were given an endorphin massage technique intervention starting April 15, 2023-18 April 2023. Results: assessment of case studies of both respondents found nursing diagnoses of postpartum discomfort. Nursing actions taken endorphin massage technique. The results of the evaluation for 4 days found differences in the two clients, namely, client 1 experienced accelerated TFU reduction while client II experienced a slowdown in TFU reduction. Conclusion: Endorphin massage technique cannot be the sole intervention in reducing TFU. Health workers are expected to provide care to postpartum women by educating the importance of the postpartum period and how to prevent it, so that uterine involution is successful and prevent complications in postpartum women.
