Abstract
Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular (PTM) yang menjadi tantangan kesehatan global dan nasional, di mana tingginya angka kejadian kerap memicu komplikasi berat hingga kematian jika tidak dikendalikan secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan asuhan keperawatan keluarga melalui implementasi edukasi kesehatan dan terapi komplementer non-farmakologis berupa pemberian air rebusan daun pandan wangi guna meningkatkan kemampuan keluarga dalam merawat anggota keluarga yang menderita hipertensi. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus terhadap satu unit keluarga (Ny. O) yang memiliki masalah kesehatan hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tamansari Kota Tasikmalaya. Intervensi keperawatan dilaksanakan selama 5 hari kunjungan berturut-turut dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi menggunakan media leaflet, serta penerapan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) pembuatan air rebusan daun pandan wangi.Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan bahwa masalah keperawatan utama yang muncul adalah Manajemen Hipertensi Keluarga Tidak Efektif yang didasari oleh minimnya pengetahuan keluarga serta kendala dalam pemanfaatan fasilitas kesehatan. Setelah diberikan intervensi edukasi dan demonstrasi terapi air rebusan pandan wangi, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada aspek pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan keluarga. Pengetahuan keluarga meningkat secara komprehensif terkait definisi, klasifikasi, penyebab, tanda dan gejala, komplikasi, serta cara pembuatan terapi herbal pandan wangi. Selain itu, keluarga menunjukkan sikap yang sangat positif berupa dukungan penuh serta mampu mendemonstrasikan pembuatan air rebusan daun pandan wangi secara mandiri sesuai SOP. Dengan demikian, edukasi terapi air rebusan pandan wangi terbukti efektif sebagai alternatif penatalaksanaan non-farmakologis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan keluarga dalam merawat penderita hipertensi di rumah. Kata Kunci: Hipertensi, Keluarga, Edukasi Kesehatan, Air Rebusan Pandan Wangi Hypertension is a non-communicable disease (NCD) that poses a global and national health challenge; its high incidence often leads to severe complications or even death if not optimally controlled. This study aims to describe family nursing care through the implementation of health education and non-pharmacological complementary therapy specifically the administration of fragrant pandan leaf decoction to enhance the family's ability to care for a member suffering from hypertension. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach involving one family unit (Mrs. O) dealing with hypertension within the service area of the Tamansari Community Health Center, Tasikmalaya City. Nursing interventions were carried out over five consecutive days using lectures, discussions, and demonstrations (utilizing leaflets), alongside the application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for preparing the fragrant pandan leaf decoction. Assessment results indicated that the primary nursing issue was "Ineffective Family Hypertension Management," stemming from the family's limited knowledge and obstacles in utilizing health facilities. Following the educational intervention and the demonstration of the pandan leaf decoction therapy, significant improvements were observed in the family's knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The family gained comprehensive knowledge regarding the definition, classification, causes, signs and symptoms, and complications of hypertension, as well as the preparation method for the herbal pandan therapy. Furthermore, the family demonstrated a highly positive attitude offering full support and proved capable of independently preparing the fragrant pandan leaf decoction in accordance with the SOP. Thus, education regarding fragrant pandan leaf decoction therapy has proven effective as a non-pharmacological management alternative for enhancing the ability of families to care for hypertension patients at home.
