Abstract
INTISARI Latar Belakang: Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC) merupakan keyakinan dan kepuasan individu terhadap kemampuannya dalam menjalankan peran sebagai orang tua. Kelas ibu hamil merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kesiapan ibu menghadapi persalinan dan pengasuhan, namun pelaksanaannya dilakukan melalui metode konvensional maupun online sehingga belum diketahui apakah terdapat perbedaan skor PSOC pada kedua metode tersebut. Tujuan: Mengetahui perbedaan skor Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC) antara ibu hamil yang mengikuti kelas ibu hamil konvensional dan online di Puskesmas Watubelah Kabupaten Cirebon Tahun 2026. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif observasional dengan rancangan cross-sectional pada 62 ibu hamil yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, terdiri dari 31 peserta kelas ibu hamil konvensional dan 31 peserta kelas ibu hamil online. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner karakteristik responden dan Parenting Sense of Competence Scale (PSOC), kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Independent t-test. Hasil: Rata-rata skor PSOC pada kelompok kelas ibu hamil konvensional sebesar 65,65±7,00, sedangkan pada kelompok kelas ibu hamil online sebesar 61,90±5,30. Hasil uji Independent t-test menunjukkan nilai p=0,021 (p<0,05), sehingga terdapat perbedaan skor PSOC yang bermakna antara kedua kelompok. Kesimpulan: Terdapat perbedaan skor Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC) antara ibu hamil yang mengikuti kelas ibu hamil konvensional dan online. Meskipun demikian, kedua metode menunjukkan skor PSOC yang relatif baik sehingga kelas ibu hamil online dapat menjadi alternatif edukasi bagi ibu hamil yang memiliki keterbatasan mengikuti kelas tatap muka. Kata Kunci: Parenting sense of competence, Kelas ibu hamil konvensional, kelas ibu hamil online ABSTRACT Background: Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC) refers to parents' confidence and satisfaction in performing their parenting role. Antenatal classes are one of the strategies to improve maternal readiness for childbirth and parenting. However, antenatal classes are conducted through conventional (face-to-face) and online methods, and it remains unclear whether there is a difference in PSOC scores between these two approaches. Objective: To determine the difference in Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC) scores between pregnant women attending conventional and online antenatal classes at Watubelah Public Health Center, Cirebon Regency, in 2026. Methods: This observational quantitative study employed a cross-sectional design involving 62 pregnant women selected using purposive sampling, consisting of 31 participants in conventional antenatal classes and 31 participants in online antenatal classes. Data were collected using a respondent characteristics questionnaire and the Parenting Sense of Competence Scale (PSOC). Data were analyzed using the Independent t-test. Results: The mean PSOC score was 65.65 ± 7.00 in the conventional antenatal class group and 61.90 ± 5.30 in the online antenatal class group. The Independent t-test showed a statistically significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.021; p < 0.05). Conclusion: There was a significant difference in Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC) scores between pregnant women attending conventional and online antenatal classes. Nevertheless, both methods demonstrated relatively good PSOC scores, indicating that online antenatal classes can serve as an alternative educational approach for pregnant women who are unable to attend face-to-face classes.
