Abstract
INTISARI Latar Belakang: Kecemasan sosial merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan mental yang banyak dialami remaja dan dapat menghambat perkembangan psikososial, prestasi akademik, serta kemampuan membangun hubungan interpersonal. Kondisi ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, di antaranya lingkungan sekolah dan pola asuh orang tua. Lingkungan sekolah yang kurang kondusif berpotensi menimbulkan rasa tidak aman dan kesulitan dalam interaksi sosial, sedangkan pola asuh yang kurang tepat dapat memengaruhi perkembangan emosional dan kemampuan remaja dalam menghadapi situasi sosial. Mengingat masa remaja merupakan periode penting dalam pembentukan perkembangan sosial dan emosional, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis hubungan lingkungan sekolah dan pola asuh orang tua dengan kecemasan sosial pada remaja di SMPN 1 Cigasong. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 109 siswa kelas VIII yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner School Climate Survey (SCS), Parental Authority Questionnaire-Revised (PAQ-R), dan Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale for Children and Adolescents (LSAS-CA). Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan tingkat kemaknaan α = 0,05. Hasil: Sebagian besar responden memiliki persepsi lingkungan sekolah yang baik (54,1%), menerima pola asuh positif (56,0%), dan mengalami kecemasan sosial (50,5%). Hasil analisis menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkungan sekolah dengan kecemasan sosial (p=0,917) maupun antara pola asuh orang tua dengan kecemasan sosial (p=0,099). Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara lingkungan sekolah maupun pola asuh orang tua dengan kecemasan sosial pada remaja di SMPN 1 Cigasong. ABSTRACT Background: Social anxiety is a common mental health issue among adolescents that can hinder psychosocial development, academic achievement, and the ability to form interpersonal relationships. This condition can be influenced by various factors, including the school environment and parenting styles. An unsupportive school environment has the potential to cause feelings of insecurity and difficulties in social interaction, while inappropriate parenting styles can affect adolescents’ emotional development and their ability to cope with social situations. Given that adolescence is a critical period for social and emotional development, this study was conducted to analyze the relationship between the school environment and parenting styles and social anxiety among adolescents at SMPN 1 Cigasong. Methods: This study employed a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 109 eighth-grade students selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the School Climate Survey (SCS), the Parental Authority Questionnaire-Revised (PAQ-R), and the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale for Children and Adolescents (LSAS-CA). Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the Chi-Square test at a significance level of α = 0.05. Results: Most respondents had a positive perception of the school environment (54.1%), experienced positive parenting (56.0%), and experienced social anxiety (50.5%). The analysis results showed no significant relationship between the school environment and social anxiety (p=0.917) or between parenting styles and social anxiety (p=0.099). Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between the school environment or parenting styles and social anxiety among adolescents at SMPN 1 Cigasong.
