Abstract

INTISARI Latar Belakang: Masalah bendungan payudara sering kali menjadi penghambat keberhasilan laktasi pada masa nifas. Kerokan (Gua Sha) di area punggung merupakan terapi komplementer tradisional yang berpotensi menstimulasi refleks oksitosin, namun penerapannya memerlukan pemahaman klinis yang benar dari masyarakat. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Maret–April 2026 menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya kepada 40 responden ibu nifas secara total sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif univariat. Hasil: Karakteristik responden didominasi oleh usia reproduksi sehat (90%), berpendidikan SMA (65%), berstatus Ibu Rumah Tangga (85%), serta proporsi paritas yang berimbang antara primipara (52,5%) dan multipara (47,5%). Tingkat pengetahuan ibu nifas mengenai kerokan untuk laktasi sebagian besar berada pada kategori baik (45%), diikuti kategori kurang (37,5%), dan sebagian kecil berkategori cukup (17,5%). Kesimpulan: Secara umum, porsi terbesar ibu nifas di Puskesmas Pasawahan telah memiliki pengetahuan yang baik terkait kerokan untuk laktasi. Namun, angka pengetahuan kurang yang masih cukup tinggi menegaskan perlunya edukasi berkelanjutan mengenai prosedur kerokan yang aman dari sisi medis. Kata Kunci: Ibu Nifas, Kerokan (Gua Sha), Laktasi, Pengetahuan. ABSTRACT Background: Breast engorgement often hinders the success of lactation during the postpartum period. Kerokan (Gua Sha) on the back area is a traditional complementary therapy that has the potential to stimulate the oxytocin reflex, but its application requires a correct clinical understanding from the community. Methods: This study used a quantitative descriptive design. Data collection was conducted from March to April 2026 using a structured questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, administered to 40 postpartum mothers selected through total sampling. Data were analyzed using univariate descriptive statistics. Results: Respondent characteristics were dominated by a healthy reproductive age (90%), high school education (65%), status as housewives (85%), and a balanced parity proportion between primiparous (52.5%) and multiparous (47.5%) mothers. The knowledge level of postpartum mothers regarding kerokan for lactation was mostly in the good category (45%), followed by the poor category (37.5%), and a small portion in the fair category (17.5%). Conclusion: In general, the largest proportion of postpartum mothers at the Pasawahan Public Health Center already possess good knowledge regarding kerokan for lactation. However, the still relatively high rate of poor knowledge highlights the need for continuous education regarding medically safe kerokan procedures.
