Abstract
INTISARI Latar Belakang: Penggunaan Metode Kontrasepsi Jangka Panjang (MKJP) masih relatif rendah, padahal metode ini efektif dalam mencegah kehamilan. Konseling KB merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan membantu ibu memilih metode kontrasepsi yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan konseling KB MKJP dengan pemilihan pemakaian MKJP di Ruang Bersalin RSD Gunung Jati Kota Cirebon Tahun 2026. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain case control. Sampel sebanyak 150 responden menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil: Sebanyak 107 responden (71,3%) mendapatkan konseling KB MKJP dan 50 responden (33,3%) memilih menggunakan MKJP. Hasil uji Chi-Square menunjukkan p-value = 0,000 dengan OR = 35,483 (95%CI = 4,710–267,292). Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara konseling KB MKJP dengan pemilihan pemakaian MKJP. Ibu yang memperoleh konseling memiliki peluang 35,483 kali lebih besar memilih MKJP dibandingkan ibu yang tidak memperoleh konseling. Kata Kunci: Konseling KB, MKJP, Pemilihan Kontrasepsi. ABSTRACT Background: The utilization of Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARC) remains relatively low despite their high effectiveness. Family planning counseling is expected to improve mothers' knowledge and support informed contraceptive choices. This study aims to determine the relationship between LARC counseling and the choice of LARC use at the Maternity Ward of Gunung Jati Regional Hospital, Cirebon City, in 2026. Methods: A quantitative study with a case control design was conducted among 150 respondents selected using accidental sampling. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and the Chi-square test. Results: A total of 107 respondents (71.3%) received LARC counseling and 50 respondents (33.3%) chose LARC. Statistical analysis showed a p-value = 0.000 with an OR = 35.483 (95% CI: 4.710–267.292). Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between LARC counseling and the choice of LARC use. Mothers who received counseling were 35.483 times more likely to choose LARC than those who did not receive counseling.
