Abstract

Penerapan Intervensi Kombinasi Terapi Handgrip ball Dan Latihan ROM Terhadap Kemampuan Fungsional Pada Pasien Stroke Di Ruangan Utsman Bin Affan 1 Rsud Welas Asih Kabupaten Bandung Ervan Prananda Saputra, Novi Indriani, SST., Ns., M.Tr.Kep. Jurusan Keperawatan Poltekkes Kemenkes Tasikmalaya Jl. Cilolohan No.35 Kahuripan, Tawang, Tasikmalaya Email : ervanpranandasaputraa@gmail.com ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Stroke merupakan gangguan pada sistem saraf yang terjadi akibat terhambatnya aliran darah ke otak sehingga menyebabkan kerusakan jaringan otak dan menimbulkan berbagai gangguan fungsi tubuh. Salah satu masalah yang sering dialami pasien stroke adalah gangguan mobilitas fisik yang ditandai dengan penurunan kekuatan otot dan kemampuan fungsional sehingga menghambat aktivitas sehari-hari. Tujuan: karya ilmiah akhir ners ini adalah memberikan gambaran penerapan intervensi kombinasi terapi handgrip ball dan latihan Range of motion (ROM) terhadap kemampuan fungsional pada pasien stroke di Ruangan Utsman Bin Affan 1 RSUD Welas Asih Kabupaten Bandung. Metode: yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan proses keperawatan pada dua pasien stroke yang mengalami gangguan mobilitas fisik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, pemeriksaan fisik, dokumentasi rekam medis, pengukuran kekuatan otot menggunakan Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), dan penilaian kemampuan fungsional menggunakan Barthel Index. Intervensi kombinasi terapi handgrip ball dan latihan ROM diberikan selama 3 hari perawatan dengan frekuensi dua kali sehari. Hasil: menunjukkan bahwa kedua pasien mengalami peningkatan kekuatan otot ekstremitas kiri dari 3/5 menjadi 4/5. Selain itu, skor Barthel Index meningkat dari 60 pada pasien pertama menjadi 70 pada pasien kedua menjadi 75 pada hari ketiga. Kesimpulan: karya ilmiah ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi terapi handgrip ball dan latihan Range of motion (ROM) dapat membantu meningkatkan kekuatan otot dan kemampuan fungsional pada pasien stroke sehingga dapat mendukung proses rehabilitasi dan meningkatkan kemandirian pasien dalam melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari. One of the problems often experienced by stroke patients is impaired physical mobility characterized by decreased muscle strength and functional ability, thus hindering daily activities. Purpose: This final nursing scientific paper is to provide an overview of the application of a combination of handgrip ball therapy and Range of motion (ROM) exercises to functional abilities in stroke patients in the Utsman Bin Affan 1 Ward, Welas Asih Regional Hospital, Bandung Regency. Method: A case study with a nursing process approach was used in two stroke patients who experienced impaired physical mobility. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, physical examinations, medical record documentation, muscle strength measurements using Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), and functional ability assessments using the Barthel Index. The combined intervention of handgrip ball therapy and ROM exercises was given for 3 days of treatment with a frequency of twice a day. Results: showed that both patients experienced an increase in left extremity muscle strength fROM 3/5 to 4/5. Furthermore, the Barthel Index score increased fROM 60 in the first patient to 70 in the second patient, and then 75 on the third day. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that the combination of handgrip ball therapy and range of motion (ROM) exercises can help improve muscle strength and functional ability in stroke patients, thereby supporting the rehabilitation process and increasing patient independence in performing daily activities.
