Abstract
ABSTRACT Background: Adolescents aged 10–12 years are entering early puberty and therefore require adequate knowledge and positive attitudes toward reproductive health. Educational videos are considered an effective health promotion medium because they deliver information through a combination of visual and auditory elements, making learning more engaging and easier to understand. Methods: This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. A total sampling technique was used, involving 74 students aged 10–12 years from SDN 1 Sindanghayu Data were collected using knowledge and attitude questionnaires administered before and after the reproductive health educational video intervention. Data were analyzed using descriptive (univariate) statistics and the Wilcoxon Signed-Ranks Test. Results: The mean knowledge score increased from 24.43 before the intervention to 26.47 after the intervention. Similarly, the mean attitude score increased from 7.35 to 8.46. The Wilcoxon Signed-Ranks Test revealed a statistically significant effect of the educational video on both knowledge (Z = −6.745; p = 0.000) and attitudes (Z = −5.950; p = 0.000) among adolescents aged 10–12 years. Conclusion: Reproductive health educational videos have a significant positive effect on improving knowledge and fostering more positive attitudes among adolescents aged 10–12 years. Educational videos can therefore be used as an effective alternative medium for reproductive health education in elementary schools. INTISARI Latar Belakang: Remaja usia 10–12 tahun merupakan kelompok yang mulai memasuki masa pubertas sehingga memerlukan pengetahuan dan sikap yang baik mengenai kesehatan reproduksi. Salah satu media edukasi yang dapat digunakan adalah video edukasi karena mampu menyampaikan informasi secara menarik melalui kombinasi unsur visual dan audio. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre-experimental dengan rancangan one group pretest–posttest. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 74 siswa usia 10–12 tahun di SDN 1 Sindanghayu. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan dan sikap sebelum dan sesudah pemberian video edukasi kesehatan reproduksi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat dan uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Hasil: Rata-rata skor pengetahuan meningkat dari 24,43 menjadi 26,47, sedangkan rata-rata skor sikap meningkat dari 7,35 menjadi 8,46 setelah pemberian video edukasi. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pemberian video edukasi terhadap pengetahuan (Z = -6,745; p = 0,000) dan sikap (Z = -5,950; p = 0,000) remaja usia 10–12 tahun. Kesimpulan: Rata-rata skor pengetahuan meningkat dari 24,43 menjadi 26,47, sedangkan rata-rata skor sikap meningkat dari 7,35 menjadi 8,46 setelah pemberian video edukasi. Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pemberian video edukasi terhadap pengetahuan (Z = -6,745; p = 0,000) dan sikap (Z = -5,950; p = 0,000) remaja usia 10–12 tahun.
