Abstract
Latar Belakang: Tingginya angka mortalitas akibat hipertensi dalam kehamilan di dunia dan di Indonesia memerlukan adanya penanganan yang optimal, salah satunya melalui intervensi non-farmakologis Swedish massage menggunakan Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) dalam membantu menurunkan tekanan darah pada ibu hamil yang mengalami hipertensi. Tujuan: Mengimplementasikan Swedish massage menggunakan Virgin Coconut Oil untuk menurunkan tekanan darah pada ibu hamil dengan hipertensi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus deskriptif kualitatif terhadap dua ibu hamil yang mengalami hipertensi di trimester II. Intervensi dilakukan 1 kali sehari 30 menit selama 5 hari berturut-turut. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup wawancara, observasi, serta pemeriksaan fisik. Hasil: Implementasi Swedish massage menggunakan Virgin Coconut Oil selama lima hari efektif dalam menurunkan tekanan darah secara bertahap pada kedua klien yang dibuktikan dari hasil pengukuran tekanan darah sebesar 145/100 mmHg menjadi 100/60 mmHg pada klien 1 dan dari 140/80 mmHg menjadi 100/75 mmHg pada klien 2. Kata Kunci: Swedish Massage, Virgin Coconut Oil, Ibu Hamil, Hipertensi Background: The high mortality rate due to hypertension in pregnancy globally and in Indonesia requires optimal management, one of which is through non-pharmacological interventions such as Swedish massage using Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) to help reduce blood pressure in pregnant women experiencing hypertension. Objective: Implementing Swedish massage using Virgin Coconut Oil can lower blood pressure in pregnant women with hypertension. Methods: This study utilizes a qualitative descriptive case study approach involving two pregnant women experiencing hypertension in their second trimester. The intervention was conducted once daily for 30 minutes over 5 consecutive days. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and physical examinations. Results: The five-day implementation of Swedish massage using Virgin Coconut Oil effectively and gradually reduced blood pressure in both clients. This is evidenced by the blood pressure measurements, which dropped from 145/100 mmHg to 100/60 mmHg for Client 1, and from 140/80 mmHg to 100/75 mmHg for Client 2.
