Abstract

Reproductive health are important aspects that should be understood by prospective brides and grooms as preparation for a healthy marriage and pregnancy. Lack of knowledge regarding reproductive health may increase the risk of health problems for both mother and child. One effort to improve the knowledge of prospective brides and grooms is through digital educational media such as the Kescatin Application. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Kescatin Application on the knowledge level of prospective brides and grooms regarding reproductive health. This study used a quantitative research design with a pre-experimental method using a one group pretest-posttest design approach. The sample consisted of 42 respondents who were prospective brides and grooms in the working area of the public health center, selected using total sampling technique. Data were collected using knowledge questionnaires before (pretest) and after (posttest) the use of the Kescatin application. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that the average knowledge score of respondents before using the Kescatin Application was 12.64 and increased to 17.14 after using the application. Statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating that there was an effect of the Kescatin Application on increasing the knowledge of prospective brides and grooms regarding reproductive health. The conclusion of this study is that the Kescatin Application nfluences the improvement of prospective brides and grooms knowledge regarding reproductive health.
