Abstract
Eneng Nurlaelah. Prototype Design of Educational Media Booklet for Providing Supplementary Food to Pregnant Women at the Rambutan Integrated Health Post, Awipari Village, Tasikmalaya City. Under supervision of IRMA NURAENI Lack of knowledge among pregnant women regarding Supplementary Feeding (PMT) can increase the risk of anemia, chronic energy deficiency (CED), low birth weight (LBW), and stunting. Based on a preliminary study conducted at Rambutan Posyandu, Awipari Village, Tasikmalaya City, there was no specific educational media regarding PMT that could help deliver information in an interesting, practical, and easy-to-understand manner. This study aimed to design a prototype of booklet-based educational media about supplementary feeding for pregnant women. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, limited to the define, design, and develop stages. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, involving 8 pregnant women as respondents, 1 material expert, 1 media expert, and 1 language expert. The define stage included problem analysis, target needs analysis, and material analysis. The design stage involved preparing the content, visual design, layout, color selection, fonts, and illustrations using the Canva application. The develop stage was conducted through validation by material experts, media experts, and language experts, followed by a small-scale trial involving pregnant women. The study was conducted at Rambutan Posyandu, Awipari Village, Tasikmalaya City, from April to May 2026. The results showed that the booklet prototype obtained a “very feasible” assessment from the material expert with a score of 90%, media expert 100%, and language expert 100%. The trial results on respondents showed an average percentage score of 94%, categorized as “very worthy.” These results indicate that the media developed is in accordance with the target needs. The PMT prototype booklet is declared very suitable for use as an educational medium for pregnant women. . Keywords: Pregnant women, Media booklets, Educational media, pregnancy. PMT
