Abstract

ABSTRACK NADYA AULIYA SALSABILA. Prototype Design of Animated Video About Animal Protein in Hypertension Patients at Kahuripan Community Health Center, Tasikmalaya City. Under supervision of MARIANAWATI SARAGIH Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases with an increasing prevalence and requires effective nutrition education to help control blood pressure. Educational media used at Kahuripan Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya City, are still limited to printed media, therefore more attractive and understandable educational media are needed. This study aimed to design an animated video prototype about animal protein for patients with hypertension at Kahuripan Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya City. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D development model limited to the develop stage. The research stages included define, design, and develop. The define stage was conducted through a needs analysis of hypertensive patients. The design stage included storyboard preparation, material development, visual design, audio, and video animation using Canva application. The develop stage consisted of validation and small group trials. Validation was conducted on material, media, and language aspects, while the trial involved 12 hypertensive patients selected using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that respondents preferred animated video media with a modern, simple, and easy-to-understand appearance using a combination of images, audio, text, illustrations, bright colors, and approximately 5 minutes duration. Validation results indicated that the media was categorized as highly feasible in material, media, and language aspects, both before and after revision. Small group trials also showed very good responses toward the developed animated video media. In conclusion, the animated video prototype about animal protein for hypertensive patients was considered feasible to be used as a nutrition education media at Kahuripan Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya City.
