Abstract

Leaflet Media Design on Toddler Eating Patterns at Kawalu Health Center, Tasikmalaya City. Supervision of ANI RADIATI Nutritional problems among toddlers remain a concern in the working area of Puskesmas Kawalu. Inappropriate eating patterns based on balanced nutrition principles and the lack of specific educational media have caused mothers of toddlers to receive insufficient nutritional information. Therefore, simple, clear, and easy-to-understand educational media are needed. This study aimed to develop a leaflet on toddler feeding patterns at Puskesmas Kawalu using the ADD development model. The research was conducted in the working area of Puskesmas Kawalu, where nutritional problems among toddlers and the need for nutrition education were identified. The Analyze stage was carried out through interviews with 1 nutrition health worker and 2 mothers of toddlers selected using purposive sampling techniques to identify the information and educational media needed. At the Design stage, a leaflet containing healthy and balanced dietary guidelines for toddlers was developed. The leaflet was then validated by 1 material expert, 1 media expert, and 1 language expert using validation sheets. The Development stage was conducted through a limited trial involving 12 mothers of toddlers selected using purposive sampling techniques and assessed using questionnaires to evaluate comprehensibility, appearance, and usefulness of the leaflet. The validation results showed that the leaflet obtained scores of 90% from the material expert, 93% from the media expert, and 96% from the language expert, all categorized as very feasible. The trial results among mothers of toddlers showed an average score of 95% categorized as very good. Therefore, the leaflet on toddler feeding patterns is considered highly feasible to be used as an educational medium for mothers of toddlers in the working area of Puskesmas Kawalu.
