Abstract
The Free Nutritious Meal Program is a national program implemented in 2025 to improve community nutritional status through safe and healthy food service practices. The success of this program is influenced by the implementation of hygiene sanitation and personal hygiene practices among food handlers. However, based on the needs analysis conducted at SPPG Cikatomas, several problems were identified, including limited worker knowledge, inadequate facilities, and low compliance with food safety principles. Therefore, educational media that are communicative, attractive, and easy to understand are needed. This study aimed to develop an educational poster on food hygiene sanitation for workers at SPPG Cikatomas using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model, consisting of the Define, Design, and Develop stages. The results of the needs analysis showed that workers required posters with simple designs, contrasting colors, clear fonts, visual illustrations, and easy-to-understand language. The validation results from material experts, media experts, and language experts indicated that the poster was categorized as “Highly Feasible.” Furthermore, the user testing results involving 12 respondents obtained an average percentage score of 83.33%, which was categorized as “Very Good.” These findings indicate that the poster was well accepted, easy to understand, and effective as an educational medium for food hygiene sanitation among workers at SPPG Cikatomas
