Abstract
MAULIDA KHARIN ISNA PUTRI. The Development of Pocketbook-Based Educational Media on Dietary Patterns and Nutritional Status for Pregnant Women with Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in Sindangkasih Health Center, Ciamis Regency. Under supervision of IRMA NURAENI, MPH Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in pregnant women was still one of the nutritional problems at Puskesmas Sindangkasih. Preliminary study results showed that the dietary patterns of pregnant women with CED had not been in accordance with the Balanced Nutrition Guidelines, characterized by low meal frequency and inadequate consumption of plant-based protein. This study aimed to design a prototype of pocketbook-based educational media about dietary patterns and nutritional status for pregnant women with CED at Puskesmas Sindangkasih. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model through the stages of needs analysis, design, development, expert validation, and respondent trials. The results of the needs analysis showed that pregnant women with CED preferred a pocketbook with pastel colors, cheerful themes, medium size (A6), and a balanced combination of text and images. Respondents also preferred the material to be presented using a combination of bullet points, short paragraphs, tables, infographics, and a mix of narrative and point-form language to make it easier to understand. Validation was conducted by material, media, and language experts, and trials were carried out on 15 pregnant women with CED. The results showed that the material expert validation obtained a feasibility percentage of 96% categorized as very feasible, the language expert validation obtained 96% categorized as feasible, and the media expert validation obtained 68% categorized as very feasible. The pocketbook-based educational media about dietary patterns and nutritional status for pregnant women with CED was declared feasible to be used as educational media at Puskesmas Sindangkasih. .
