Abstract
NAILA HALIMATUS SA’DIYAH . Development of an animated video on animal protein intake and nutritional status as an educational media for children at SDN 1 Sindangkasih, Ciamis Regency. Under supervision of IRMA NURAENI Elementary school children (7–12 years) experience a rapid phase of growth and development. Adequate and balanced nutrient intake is essential at this stage to support optimal physical growth and developmental processes. Nutritional problems among school-age children are often caused by an imbalance of nutrient intake, both macronutrients and micronutrients, which can affect growth, immunity, and learning ability. This study aims to develop an animated video on animal protein intake and nutritional status as an educational medium for students at SDN 1 Sindangkasih, Ciamis Regency. This research is a development study or Research and Development (R&D). The study adopts the ADDIE model; however, the implementation is limited to the stages of Analysis, Design, and Development Data were collected through media acceptance questionnaires. The educational media were validated by three experts, namely material experts with a score of 70% (“feasible”), media experts with a score of 77% (“feasible”), and language experts with a score of 97% (“very feasible”). The developed product was tested on 12 fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Sindangkasih, Ciamis Regency, consisting of 4 boys and 8 girls. The respondent trial results showed an average media acceptance score of 85.11%, categorized as “very feasible”. The results indicated that the animated video-based educational media on animal protein intake and nutritional status were feasible to be used as educational media for elementary school children. Keywords: nutrition education, animated video, nutritional status, animal protein
