Abstract

Kurangnya perhatian dalam membaca label informasi gizi pada makanan kemasan khususnya dikalangan siswa dapat berdampak buruk pada kesehatan.(Anggraini et al., 2018) Permasalahan gizi di sekolah yang sering terjadi adalah kebiasaan konsumsi makanan kemasan dan tingkat kepatuhan membaca label makanan pada kemasan makanan.(Dewi et al., 2023) Pemberian edukasi gizi adalah salah satu upaya penting dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pola makan yang sehat. Prevalensi remaja usia 16-18 tahun di wilayah Jawa yang tidak membaca label gizi (17,9%). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan atau peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah pemberian edukasi gizi melalui media leaflet. Penelitian ini menggunakan Desain Quasi-Experiment (Eksperimen semu) dengan kelompok intervensi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 10 Januari 2025 di SMA Negeri 8 Kota Cirebon. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Kota Cirebon tahun ajaran 2025 yaitu dengan jumlah siswa 25 Orang dengan besar sampel adalah total populasi. Data dikumpulkan dengan pengisian kuesioner terkait jajanan label makanan. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelompok intervensi yang diberikan edukasi gizi melalui media leaflet. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur pengetahuan gizi responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan Tingkat pengetahuan siswa dibuktikan dengan dengan uji Wilcoson Matched-Paris untuk melihat ada tidaknya perubahan antara rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan dan dapat diketahui bahwa nilai signifikasi (p-value) untuk perubahan pengetahuan adalah 0,000 (<0,005). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan antara nilai pre-test dan post-test pada siswa setelah diberikan edukasi gizi melalui media leaflet. Lack of attention to reading nutritional information labels on packaged foods, especially among students, can have a negative impact on health. (Anggraini et al., 2018) Nutritional problems commonly found in schools include the habit of consuming packaged foods and the low level of compliance in reading food labels on packaging. (Dewi et al., 2023) Providing nutrition education is one of the important efforts to increase public knowledge about healthy eating patterns. The prevalence of adolescents aged 16–18 years in the Java region who do not read nutrition labels is 17.9%. This study aims to determine the difference or improvement in students' level of knowledge before and after the provision of nutrition education through leaflet media. This study employed a Quasi-Experimental design (pseudo-experiment) with an intervention group. The research was conducted on January 10, 2025, at SMA Negeri 8 Cirebon City. The population in this study consisted of 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 8 Cirebon City for the 2025 academic year, totaling 25 students, with the sample size being the total population. Data were collected through the completion of questionnaires related to food label snacks. The research sample was the intervention group that received nutrition education through leaflet media. The instrument used consisted of pre-test and post-test questions to assess the respondents’ nutritional knowledge. The results of the study showed a change in students’ knowledge levels, as evidenced by the Wilcoxon Matched-Pairs test, which was used to determine whether there was a difference in the average knowledge level. It was found that the significance value (p-value) for the change in knowledge was 0.000 (<0.005). This indicates that there was a significant increase between the pre-test and post-test scores among students after receiving nutrition education through leaflet media.
