Abstract
Stunting was still a nutritional problem in Indonesia. According to the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI), West Java Province successfully reduced the stunting prevalence from 24.5% in 2018 to 20.2% in 2022. The stunting prevalence in Tasikmalaya Regency, based on the Indonesian Health Survey, decreased from 27.2% in 2022 to 20.7% in 2023. Sukaratu Village still had a high stunting rate of 27.6%. The factors causing stunting include direct and indirect factors. Direct factors include nutrition intake and infectious diseases, while indirect factors include food security, parenting patterns, and environment. One of the impacts of stunting is cognitive development disorders, which affect learning and thinking abilities. One of the efforts made was implementing the "Isi Piringku" guideline and improving eating habits and animal protein intake. This study was a quantitative descriptive research. The sample in this study was consisted of 47 stunted children aged 12–59 months in Sukaratu Village, selected using the Probability Random Sampling method. Data were collected through interviews and the completion of the SQ-FFQ questionnaire. The results showed that 100% of the children did not receive portions according to "Isi Piringku". The eating habits of the respondents showed frequent consumption in each food group, and 80.9% of the children did not consume a variety of foods. The description of animal protein intake showed that 63.8% were in the low category.
