Abstract

Prevalensi penderita Diabetes Melitus di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan menjadi sebesar 2,2% pada tahun 2023. Asupan karbohidrat yang berlebih dan konsumsi indeks glikemik dengan kategori tinggi merupakan salah faktor utama terjadinya Diabetes Melitus. Salah satu upaya menjaga kadar gula darah agar terkendali adalah dengan melakukan penatalaksanaan diet Diabetes Melitus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penatalaksanaan diet Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 dengan asupan karbohidrat, indeks glikemik, dan kadar gula darah sewaktu pada pasien rawat inap RS Permata Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif observasional dengan rancangan studi kasus. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling dengan metode purposive sampling. Sampel terdiri dari dua pasien rawat inap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penatalaksanaan diet Diabetes Melitus di RS Permata Cirebon dilakukan sesuai dengan standar PAGT. Rata-rata asupan karbohidrat Responden I sebesar 57,78% dan Responden II sebesar 82,09%. Keduanya masuk dalam kategori defisit yang disebabkan oleh penurunan nafsu makan. Indeks glikemik makanan yang dikonsumsi masuk dalam kategori sedang, yaitu 67,63 untuk Responden I dan 65,75 untuk Responden II. Hasil gula darah sewaktu Responden I secara konsisten mengalami penurunan. Sedangkan kadar gula darah sewaktu Responden II sempat mengalami peningkatan pada hari kedua, namun kembali menurun pada hari ketiga. Penurunan ini disebabkan oleh pemberian diet dan juga terapi farmakologis yang diberikan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Penatalaksanaan Diet Diabetes Melitus di RS Permata Cirebon telah dilakukan sesuai standar PAGT, asupan karbohidrat kedua responden masih dalam kategori defisit, dengan kategori indeks glikemik sedang, dan penurunan kadar gula darah pada kedua responden menunjukkan respon positif terhadap diet yang diberikan. The prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus sufferers in Indonesia has increased to 2.2% in 2023. Excessive carbohydrate intake and consumption of a high glycemic index are one of the main factors in the occurrence of Diabetes Mellitus. One of the efforts to keep blood sugar levels under control is to manage the Diabetes Mellitus diet. This study aims to determine the management of the type 2 Diabetes Mellitus diet with carbohydrate intake, glycemic index, and blood sugar levels in inpatients at Permata Cirebon Hospital. This study uses an observational descriptive design with a case study design. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with the purposive sampling method. The sample consisted of two inpatients. The results of the study showed that the management of the Diabetes Mellitus diet at Permata Cirebon Hospital was carried out in accordance with the PAGT standard. The average carbohydrate intake of Respondent I was 57.78% and Respondent II was 82.09%. Both are included in the deficit category caused by decreased appetite. The glycemic index of food consumed is in the medium category, which is 67.63 for Respondent I and 65.75 for Respondent II. Blood sugar results during Respondent I consistently decreased. Meanwhile, blood sugar levels during Respondent II had increased on the second day, but decreased again on the third day. This decrease is due to the administration of diet as well as pharmacological therapy given. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Management of the Diabetes Mellitus Diet at Permata Cirebon Hospital has been carried out according to the PACT standard, the carbohydrate intake of the two respondents is still in the deficit category, with the category of moderate glycemic index, and the decrease in blood sugar levels in both respondents shows a positive response to the diet given.
