Abstract
Anemia is a public health problem in Indonesia that can occur in all age groups, which is characterized by a condition where the hemoglobin (Hb) level in the blood is lower than the normal value. The aim of this research is to determine the description of knowledge, perception and compliance with TTD consumption among young women at SMPN 17 Tasikmalaya City. The type of research used is descriptive research. The sample for this research was 30 female students using purpose sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire form on adolescent knowledge regarding the incidence of iron deficiency anemia, a questionnaire on adolescent girls' perceptions of TTD, a questionnaire on the level of compliance with TTD consumption. The results showed that 22 young women’s knowledge of iron deficiency anemia (73,33%), was in thr good category and 8 people (26,66%) were in the sufficients category. All young women have a good perception of TTD, namely 30 people (100%). 18 young women (60%) regularly consume TTD, 4 (13,33%) do not regularly consume TTD and 8 (26,66%) do not consume TTD.
