Abstract
The Effect of Education Using Instagram Media About Gingivitis on Adolescents at MTS Darul Falah Cisero Garut Freesilla Noer Rizky Background: Gingivitis is an inflammatory disease of the gingval tissue that affects many people in indinesia. In indoonesia gingivitis ranks second,reaching 96,58%, 2018 Riskesdas data shows the percentage of gingivitis cases in indonesia 74,1% gingivitis can ccur at any age but most often occurs at puberty 10-16 years old, one of which is the occuttence f gingivitis it can be caused by a lack of knowledge abaut gingivitis itself, knowledge can be obtained from anyone and anywhere, one f which can be obtained from couseling via instagram social media. Purpose: the purpose of this study was to find out how adole scents knowledge about gingivitis was described before and after couseling using instagram media at Mts Darul Falah Cisero Garut. Method: This type of research is descriptive with sampling using a purposive sampling technique, the research sample is 37 respondents, this study uses a questionnaire measuring instrument. Research Results: The results before being given counseling about gingivitis obtained moderate criteria as many as 17 people 19% and after being given counseling about gingivitis obtained good critria as many as 32 people 80%. Education before couseling with instagram media was i ncluded in the moderate criteria and changed to be good after being given counseling about gingivitis. Conclusion: knoowledge about gingivitis in adolescents iincreases (knowledge criteria being good after education). Keywords: Instagram, Counseling, Knowledge
