Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by dengue virus infection. DHF cases occur in many communities regardless of age. In 2022 there are 1,845 cases of dengue fever with 28 deaths in Tasikmalaya. Provision of optimal medical therapy can reduce the number of cases and deaths due to DHF. This study aims to describe the use of drugs in patients with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in the Inpatient Installation of RSUD dr. Soekardjo City of Tasikmalaya. This research is descriptive in nature using a quantitative method, using a total sample technique retrospectively, namely looking at the medical records of DHF patients in July-September 2022 as many as 255 patients. Data analysis performed was univariate analysis. Based on the results of the study, most DHF patients occurred in women by 45.88% and in the age category of children aged 3-12 years by 34.51%, the diagnosis of comorbid patients was 5.88% with the most diagnoses being DHF accompanied by hypertension. The most used drug for DHF patients based on the dosage form was injection of 43.28% and based on the route of administration the most was parenteral, namely 85.68% with Ringer Lactate fluid therapy type of 55.23%, while the drug that was most widely given was antipyretic group of 26.93%.
