Abstract

Gastritis is one of the most common digestive tract problems. Stomach acid will make sores (ulcers) known as peptic ulcers. It can even be accompanied by vomiting blood, gastritis that is not handled properly will cause complications that lead to severity, namely stomach cancer and even death. Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, the incidence of gastritis in Indonesia, precisely in the province of West Java, reached 31.2% with a population of 48,683,861, and based on data on the 10 biggest diseases obtained from the Tasikmalaya City Health Office in 2021 that gastritis is a disease that has the 6th incident rate in Tasikmalaya City, which is 6,094 cases. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with retrospective data collection on medical record data, with the type of sampling Non Probability Sampling with Purposive Sampling technique. Data analysis used in this research is presented in the form of descriptive analysis. Data were analyzed based on the name of the drug, drug class, gender, and age of the patient. The results of data analysis are presented in tables of frequency and percentage distributions Based on the characteristics of patients based on sex and age who suffer from gastritis, namely, the sex of women is the most with a total of 67%, and based on the age of patients, gastritis occurs most often at the age of 20-44 years as much as 40%. The 4 groups are: Antacids, PPI (Proton Pump Inhibitors), H2 Blockers, and Cytoprotectives, based on the percentage the most widely used drug class is the PPI group as much as 43.04%. The most widely used type of gastritis drug was Lansoprazole as much as 25.95%. Based on the route of administration, the most widely used were orally with a total of 87.34% and for injection as much as 12.66%.
