Abstract

Wounds are injuries that are often experienced by humans. One of them is a incision wound, which is a wound caused by a sharp object. People in rural areas often use banana tree sap to heal wounds. The purpose of this study was to determine plants from Musa acuminata and Musa paradisiaca which have the potential as a medicine for incision wound and to find out secondary metabolites that have activity for treating incision wound. The research method used is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used in this research is literature study. In the data collection process, journal selection was carried out based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The researcher reads the journal and records important points from the journal obtained including the title, objectives, core, and research results. Data analysis was carried out descriptively presented in the table. The results of the study showed that there were 13 journals that entered the inclusion criteria. There are five varieties of plants that have properties in healing incision wound. Based on the discussion it was concluded that plants that have the potential to be used as medicine for incision wound include Musa acuminata Colla, Musa acuminata Colla var. silk, Musa paradisiaca var. formatypica, Musa paradisiaca L, and Musa paradisiaca var. sapientum L. Secondary metabolites in these plants that have activity in healing incision wound include flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, tannins, terpenoids, steroids, and phenols.
